This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how Nishi, operated by Mirae Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles consumer health data, in addition to our main Privacy Policy. It applies when you choose to share health information with Nishi, such as details about a medication you take. If there is any conflict between this policy and the main Privacy Policy about consumer health data specifically, this policy controls.
Scope
"Consumer health data" means information you share with Nishi that relates to your health. In Nishi, the clearest example is the medication information you can choose to add, described below. This policy covers that information. You are never required to share it, and Nishi works without it.
What we collect
Only what you choose to enter. If you add a medication, that can include:
- the medication you take (for example a GLP-1) and, if you tell us, its brand name;
- the dose and how often you take it;
- whether it is active, paused, or stopped, and the date you started or changed it;
- whether you also take insulin or a similar medicine that can lower blood sugar;
- if you choose to tell us, the reason you stopped a medication.
You can add, change, or remove any of this at any time.
Why we collect it
To personalize the food, timing, and guidance Nishi shows you, so its suggestions fit your situation. That is the only purpose. Nishi does not use this information for advertising, and it is never sold.
Where it comes from
Directly from you. Nishi does not buy consumer health data, and it does not pull your medication information from pharmacies, insurers, or other outside sources.
How it is protected
Your medication details are encrypted when stored. Access is limited to running the app and providing the features you use. This information is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We do not share your consumer health data with anyone for their own use, and we do not sell it or share it for cross-context advertising. We use a small number of service providers only to run the app, under contract, and only as needed. These include our cloud database provider (where your data is stored) and the AI provider that generates Nishi's responses. They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or close your account. When you delete your medication data, we remove your medication entries and the related history from our active systems. You can also delete your whole account, which removes your data. Some information may remain in routine backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
Your choices and rights
You are in control of this information:
- view, change, or remove your medication entries any time in the app's Settings;
- delete your medication data as a category, or delete your whole account;
- ask us what consumer health data we have about you, and ask us to delete it.
To exercise any of these rights, use the controls in the app or contact us at support@meetnishi.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. You will not be treated differently for exercising a right.
Not medical care
Nishi is a food and wellness companion. It does not provide medical care, diagnose, or treat any condition, and it does not replace your clinician. It uses the information you share to tailor food and timing suggestions around your routine. Always talk to whoever manages your medication before making changes to it.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before the change affects your consumer health data.
